Chaparral Animal Hospital included the construction of a state-of-the-art, full-service medical and surgical facility for both large and small animals. Included in this project were exam rooms, a laboratory, an x-ray and radiation facility, multiple large operating rooms, indoor recovery stalls, kennels, conference rooms and offices. A unique feature of this project was a monorail system for transporting horses. This project was developed on five and a half acres and includes outdoor exercise yards for both large and small animals.
MTV General Contractors, Inc. met the challenge of returning the site landscape to its native habitat, which required the salvaging, maintaining and replanting of more than 100 existing mature trees and cacti in the final landscape design.
Throughout the preconstruction and construction phases of this project, MTV's attention to cost through value engineering, as well as strategic implementation of scheduling, allowed this project to be completed on time and under budget.
